August at Macrix was all about movement.
For 31 days, our employees collected kilometers in three categories: walking, running and other outdoor activities. They proved that sport at Macrix means more than competition. It’s about energy, connection and motivation to keep moving together. After a month full of effort and enthusiasm, the results spoke for themselves:
RUN: 702 km
CYCLE: 2,794.44 km
OTHER activities: 611.56 km
TOTAL distance: 4,108 km
Dominika: “Macrix Sports Challenge 2025 was special for me because I beat my personal best in running distance for a single month and achieved all my weekly and monthly goals. The chance to represent the company at an external event felt like a true reward for my effort and training discipline. I’m happy I could take part with my colleagues – it was so much fun, a reason for pride, and proof that we have strength not only in our minds but also in our bodies!”
As Tomasz shared: “What I liked most about the company challenge was the motivation for everyday activity and the healthy competition among colleagues. Every ride logged on Strava gave a sense of satisfaction and pushed me further. It was inspiring to watch others’ progress and know that together we were promoting an active lifestyle. In the end, covering over 1,000 kilometers was not only satisfying but also proof that consistency is the key to achieving your goals.”
Piotr summed it up: “Macrix Sports Challenge, as usual, pushed me to get off the couch and go further. I knew the prize – and it was really tempting. I aimed for a personal best, but life can be brutal, and things didn’t quite go as planned. Still, preparing for the Santander Run was a lot of fun.”
Eight winners stood out with exceptional results and earned the chance to represent Macrix in two CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) sports events – initiatives that combine physical activity with charitable or environmental goals.
Top runners who went the distance:
1st – Dominika Kirschenstein – 211.44 km
2nd – Piotr Walczak – 187.77 km
3rd – Paweł Linek – 150.62 km
Cycling champions who led the pack:
1st – Tomasz Urbański – 1,003.34 km
2nd – Bartłomiej Zając – 546.45 km

Bonus Qualifiers – Other Outdoor Activities
All-round explorers who moved the farthest:

This year’s edition wasn’t just about staying fit. It also served as a qualification stage for representing Macrix in real-world events that combined sport and purpose. In September, our top participants proudly wore Macrix colors, turning every kilometer into support for community and environmental causes.
At the beginning of September, Dominika Kirschenstein, Piotr Walczak, Dominik Tomiak and Jens Wolff took part in the Santander Run in Mönchengladbach. Participants ran a 5.2 km route, with every stride supporting local organizations that help children and young people. Santander donated €5 per participant and contributed a total of €25,000 to local social projects.
Team result: 163rd place out of 601 teams
Individual results:
Piotr Walczak: “Preparing for the Santander Run was a lot of fun. The run itself brought plenty of excitement. One special challenge was to beat Dr. Hahn, our customer. The order came straight from the board. Mission accomplished.”
As Dominik Tomiak noted, “It’s always great to join such a big event with thousands of runners and feel that competition energy. The route was well organized and quite flat – just a bit crowded at the start, but that’s part of the fun of running together.”
It was an excellent performance and an even greater display of spirit. The team perfectly combined sport, solidarity, and purpose.
A few days later, the action moved to Poznań, where Tomasz Urbański, Dariusz Rudziński, Olga Piątek, and Dominika Kirschenstein joined the FRRuuu Urban Cycling Game – an event that combined sport, teamwork, and creativity. For several hours, they biked through the city, solved puzzles, spotted differences, and even tasted edible bugs.
As Olga Piątek shared: “It was great to see how everyone found their own way to contribute. Each of us approached the challenges differently, which made it even more fun.”
Dariusz Rudziński also recalled: “It was a really positive experience. We had a great time exploring the city together, combining teamwork with a bit of physical effort. The challenges were creative and made us think, but most of all, it was simply fun – a great way to spend time outdoors with colleagues.”
Tomasz Urbański added: “The FRRuuu game was a perfect mix of teamwork, discovery, and physical effort – a great way to spend an active day together.”
The team finished 88th out of 101 teams, but this challenge was never about rankings. It was about curiosity, cooperation, and caring for the planet.
Each kilometer helped fund flower meadows supporting wild bees and urban biodiversity. After the event, our cyclists received well-earned “Friend of the Planet” certificates.
A heartfelt thank-you to everyone who joined the Macrix Sports Challenge 2025 and represented us at the Santander Run and the FRRUUU Urban Bike Game. You’ve shown that at Macrix, sport is more than movement – it’s energy, teamwork, and heart. Every kilometer mattered – for us, for others, and for the world around us.
