New Project from the M&S Team

We’re excited to share that the M&S team is kicking off a brand-new international R&D project: well-beINTeam – a bold initiative focused on improving psychological safety in hybrid teams, especially in small and medium-sized businesses across Europe.

WHAT IS THE PROJECT ABOUT?

well-beINTeam is a 32-month EU-funded initiative (including deep-dive user research phase) bringing together partners from Poland, Cyprus, Italy, and Spain. Together, we’re designing tools and methods that help companies build more psychologically safe, connected hybrid teams. We’re not in it alone – this is a collaboration with several strong partners, each bringing something to the table:

  • OIC (project lead): one of the biggest EU fund managers in Poland. They’re running the show – management, reporting, coordination.
  • Eurosuccess: experts in EU projects and training, contributing research methodology, quality assurance, and building the feedback tool.
  • SmartUp: handling promotion and outreach, with a tech-savvy approach tailored to SMEs.
  • Wyde: leading the cohort-based learning part – bringing in tons of industry experts and research know-how.
WHAT IS OUR ROLE?

We’re proud to lead the tech side of the project – designing and developing a digital platform that helps teams understand and strengthen psychological safety.

Here’s what we’re building:

  • Interactive workshops in the form of short, engaging films
  • AI-powered avatar that guides users through a personalized experience
  • Reflection-based learning– not just theory, but real growth

Our HR and R&D experts are also involved to make sure everything we create is grounded in real workplace needs – not just theory.

WHO IS INVOLVED?

 Core Macrix’s team:

Development: Bartosz Pierzchlewicz, Tomasz Skarżyński
HR Experts: Claudia Sójka, Olga Piątek
PO/PM: Sebastian Brosch, Filip Zuchowski, Szymon Panfil

This project is a big step – not just for us as a hybrid company, but for how we use tech to support more human-centered workplaces across Europe.

WHY WE DECIDED TO TAKE PART IN THE INITIATIVE?
  1. We’re a hybrid company ourselves – it’s a world we know well.

  2. Hybrid work is evolving fast, and the timing is perfect. If we want teams to thrive in it, we need to create cultures where people feel safe to speak up, ask questions, and make mistakes without fear of judgment.

  3. We have solid experience in R&D with a psychological angle.

  4. Thanks to Szymon’s network and our strong connection with Ewelina, the president of OIC we hope for more EU projects to come.

PS. You might’ve heard the term psychological safety before – it was popularized by Harvard’s Amy Edmondson, who defines it as “a shared belief held by members of a team that the team is safe for interpersonal risk taking.” In practice, that means:

  • You can say “I don’t know” without feeling insecure.
  • You can give honest feedback, even if it’s uncomfortable.
  • You can try something new, even if it might fail.
  • Mistakes? Treated as a chance to learn, not a reason to point fingers.

For hybrid teams, where communication gaps are real, this kind of environment is essential.
